RIGHT NOW I LIKE

Our team chemistry and work ethic. These girls know how to work and they’re very coachable. We have a lot of new faces, but we’re getting better every day. I really like the contribution and consistency we’re getting from freshman defender Jenna Victor. Our backup goalie, junior Lyla Self, is progressing rapidly into a fine keeper which will provide us with much-needed versatility. Lyla’s play in goal allows us to utilize keeper Megan Borton’s explosive speed on the pitch to gain favorable matchups in the midfield.

RIGHT NOW WE NEED TO IMPROVE

Our team shape and stay better connected on the pitch. We also need to improve our movement off the ball. It’s getting much better, but movement off the ball is still a work in progress.

TEAM TO BEAT IN SCOL

Chillicothe has the most depth and is returning all its key players. Clinton-Massie lost several graduating seniors, but is always strong.

ANYTHING ELSE YOU’D LIKE TO SAY ABOUT TEAM, SEASON

Our team depth is limited so staying healthy is very important to our success. We’ve placed Gethsemane Bray into a vital role at central defender alongside All-SCOL defender Katlyn Jamiel. Gethsemane is progressing nicely and we’re very confident in her abilities. To be successful we will need consistent play from our role players such as seniors Lauren Johns & Erin Cornwell as well as freshmen Jordan Snarr.
