BLANCHESTER — A Putman Elementary School bus was involved in an accident Monday morning
According to Blanchester Local Schools Superintendent Dean Lynch, who was on scene, parents were quickly notified, and he was pleased to announce no one was injured and students were soon in school.
Lynch said the children appeared to be emotionally fine, but said Blanchester Middle School social worker Rebecca Wilson and her therapy dog, Odin, would be at the school to do any needed counseling. Lynch also said Putman’s nurse was notified.
The school bus was rear-ended by a pickup truck, and that pickup truck was rear-ended by a dump truck, according to Lynch.
Harlan Township Fire & Rescue and Blanchester EMS responded to the scene.
