The Blanchester seventh grade girls basketball team lost to Batavia 20-8 Wednesday afternoon.

Emma Winemiller, Taylor Combs, Daelyn Staehling and Lacie Tedrick scored two points each.

Maddie Creager led the team with six defensive rebounds. Combs and Tedrick both had four, Rianna Mueller had two and Staehling, Gracie Irwin, Kenzie Kratzer and Madison Ogden had one each. Irwin also had one offensive rebound.

Creager and Irwin both had two steals while Winemiller had one. Combs and Staehling both had one block.

The Ladycats will play again next Wednesday at Clermont Northeastern.
