The Blanchester eighth grade girls basketball team dropped a pair of games to Goshen and Norwood.

On Jan. 11, the young Ladycats were defeated by the Indians 41-25.

Casey Kingsland had 14 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists, a blocked shot and a steal.

Madison Wells had 5 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks, a steal and an assist. Noelani Tangonan had 2 points, 3 rebounds and 4 steals. Caili Bauman had 3 rebounds, a block and a steal. Becca Kratzer had 2 points and 2 steals. Alyssa Griffith had 2 points.

On Jan. 9, Blanchester was defeated by Goshen 33-27.

Kingsland had 11 points, 5 steals, 2 rebounds and an assist. Wells had 7 points, 2 steals and a rebound. Baumann had 5 points, 10 rebounds, 3 blocked shots, an assist and a steal. Tangonan had 4 points, 2 assists, a rebound, a blocked shot and a steal.
