LEES CREEK — The game came down to the wire in East Clinton’s 31-29 win over the Hillsboro Indians in girl’s junior varsity basketball action Wednesday at the EC gym in South Central Ohio League play.

Lacey Peterman led the Astros (5-8 on the year) with 9 points.

Rhylee Luttrell had 8 points and 8 rebounds. Miranda Beener contributed 6 points and 5 assists. Both Mackenzie Campbell and Mersadees Gulley had 3 points. Makenzy Weiner had 4 rebounds and Bre Davis chipped in with 2 points.

On Saturday, East Clinton defeated Clinton-Massie 32-29.

Beener led EC with 13 points. Luttrell had 4 points and 5 rebounds. Alexis Garen grabbed 5 rebounds. Kaitlin Durbin and Sierra Christian had 4 points each. Peterman finished with 3 points and Paige Lilly added 2.
