Wilmington police reports

WILMINGTON — The following report is generated from reports provided by the Wilmington Police Department. All those arrested are presumed innocent until possibly proven guilty in court. Incidents are presumed to be under investigation. Charges may be dropped or changed in court.

Wilmington police recently processed the following reports:

• At 10:15 a.m. on July 1, a theft from the 200 block of North Mulberry Street was reported. According to the report, a DeWalt drill set with battery charger and two batteries were stolen from a 23-year-old male victim. A 24-year-old Wilmington male is listed as a suspect.

• Units responded to the parking lot at the 900 block of South South Street for a reported overdose at 10:32 a.m. on July 1. According to the reports, a 27-year-old Middletown female was found allegedly overdosing in a van. A male subject, later identified as a 30-year-old from Bowersville, took off on foot. Police were unable to locate the male. The female was transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital.

• At 12:59 p.m on July 1, a 71-year-old male reported that a 51-year-old female stole $2,198 worth of items. According to the report, the victim said he was living with the female and that they were dating and that the items taken were purchased for a house for them. He claimed when she moved out she took his washer, dryer, coffee maker, TV, queen size mattress and box springs, and kitchen table and chairs. He claimed that the items were purchased for one of his rental properties that he allowed her to live in after breaking up. The victim advised that the suspect’s brothers, a 48-year-old male, helped her move the items. Police spoke with the suspect over the phone and she stated, “He was very abusive and that he had bought those items for her.” Authorities attempted to contact the other male subject and the suspect again but heard no reply. The case was submitted to the city prosecutor for review.

• At 1:12 p.m. on July 1, a 28-year-old reported several items were stolen from his unlocked vehicle at his residence a the 300 block of South South Street. According to the report, the victim went out to his truck around noon and found the passenger side doors were open. He found that the wires to the light bar were cut and the light bar on top of his truck was missing and a Fossil silver watch was stolen.

• At 3:58 p.m. on July 2, police responded to the 1-99 block of Newham Street on the report of a dog biting a juvenile. According to the report, the juvenile was playing with his cousin when a ball they were playing with went into the Newham Street residence yard. The juvenile went to retrieve it. The 58-year-old male resident allegedly opened the door telling the juvenile to get off his property. The resident’s dog ran outside between him and the door and bit the juvenile on the left rear of his leg. The dog warden responded and cited the owner for not maintaining reasonable control of the animal. The dog was taken by the warden for a 10-day quarantine. The owner advised he had “Beware of Dog” and “No Trespassing” signs on his property. The warden advised the juvenile’s family that the dog was not up-to-date on shots and that they may want to have the child checked out at the hospital.

• Police responded to the 300 block of Darbyshire Drive at 7 p.m. on July 2 on an alleged assault. Upon arrival, authorities found a 38-year-old male with an injured left ankle and bleeding from the face and head. According to the report, the victim, a 34-year-old male suspect, and his 33-year-old girlfriend drove to the house together and the two males started fighting. The female tried to pull the victim off of the other male and the victim allegedly bit her finger. The victim and the female were transported to Clinton Memorial Hospital. Police spoke with the other male subject who stated he pulled in to the driveway and the victim went into the house and no one was hit. The report indicates that the suspect had a cut on his head and dried blood on his face and neck. The female was later arrested for a warrant through the police department.

• At 7:49 a.m. on July 3, officers responded to a business on Park Drive on the report of property damage. According to the report, the windshield of a truck belonging to the business was damaged.

• At 12:35 p.m. on July 4, police received a report of a stolen purse. The report indicates it took place at a store on Progress Way.

• At 4 p.m. on July 5, authorities responded to State Route 73 for a possible drunk driver headed toward Wilmington from New Vienna. While in route, the officer was told the vehicle crashed on the bypass. According to the report, the driver, a 39-year-old female from New Smyrna Beach, Florida, was found “very intoxicated.” The officer had the driver sit in the back of the patrol car until the Ohio State Highway Patrol arrive to handle the incident.

• At 4:55 p.m. on July 5, a 27-year-old male reported that someone broke into his vacant rental property at the 400 block of Howard Street and stole a breaker box.

Wilmington police also recently charged the following people:

• Pamela Harner, 53, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged theft.

• Michael Rolark, Jr., 48, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged domestic violence.

• Shawn Fox, 29, of Blanchester, was charged with alleged theft.

• Paul Murray, 37, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged burglary, theft, and criminal tool possession.

• Leah Epling, 37, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged criminal trespass.

• Joshua Kirkpatrick, 37, of Wilmington, was charged with allegedly violating protection order/consent agreement.

• Skye Storer, 31, of Wilmington, was charged with alleged theft and possessing drug abuse instruments.
