Blan FFA: Donating food, honoring farmers

0

BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester FFA had its last chapter meeting of the year on Dec. 5. In honor of the Christmas holiday, the officers wore ugly Christmas sweaters.

The chapter also celebrated the holidays with our post-meeting activity when we watched “The Grinch” and drank hot chocolate.

One member, Logan Heitzman, even said “I liked the incorporation of Christmas.”

At the meeting, we discussed the Glen Thompson Food Drive. We encourage all students to donate money or cans that will be directly given back to the community. You can donate cans or money to your teachers or directly to the FFA.

Our next discussion was about the Farmers Breakfast, which will be held in February. The Blanchester FFA will be making and serving breakfast to honor our local farmers’ hard work. We made a committee for the Farmers Breakfast.

Lastly, we passed for all leftover fruit from the fruit sale that’s in good condition to be donated to the Glen Thompson Food Drive.
