WILMINGTON — The sun shone brightly Wednesday afternoon as the Wilmington-Clinton County Chamber of Commerce, Main Street Wilmington and the United Way of Clinton County held an open house to celebrate their new location at 63 W. Main St., next to the Mural Parking Lot.
“We’ve been so pleased with the way sharing our office space has worked over the last few years, so we were very glad to be able to continue that relationship in the new location,” Chamber of Commerce Executive Director Dessie Rogers said recently, echoing the thoughts of Main Street Wilmington Executive Co-Director Darcy Reynolds and United Way President/CEO Amanda Harrison.
“The move was made because we had the opportunity to reduce the overhead for all three organizations while maintaining our collaborative space and downtown presence,” Main Street Wilmington Executive Co-Director Ruth Brindle told the News Journal Wednesday.
“It just makes sense for us all to share space,” United Way President/CEO Amanda Harrison said recently. “It streamlines our communication and enhances the ability for each organization to serve the community.”
