Lions hold charter night meeting

The Wilmington Lions Club held its annual charter night meeting Monday at McCoy’s Place.

This year the club observes 87 years of service to our community and by extension participates in the worldwide services provided by Lions Clubs International.

Lions Ben Dunn and Tony Winner were recognized for the many services they have provided through the prestigious Melvin Jones Award.

Club officers were installed for the 2021-2022 term: Club President Tony Winner, Secretary Kathey Carroll, Treasurer Gary De Fayette, and Vice Presidents Ben Dun, John Beireis and Kevin Kesterson.

The club is preparing to return to fund raising activities in the near future since health risks have been greatly reduced.
