The Blanchester boys bowling team is coached again by Troy Ballinger.
Bryan Brewer (187.5 average) was first team in the National Division as a junior last season while Ryan Brewer (179.4 average) was second team as a junior.
Seniors on the team last season who have graduated include Taylor Cochran, Carter Stevens and Brian Miller. They led Blanchester to an 11-9 record.
In his fourth season as head coach, Ballinger said Bryan Brewer, Dakota Abney and Jacob Shelton have taken leadership of the team.
“They have been on this team since its inception and have a lot of knowledge to share with their teammates,” Ballinger said.
Ballinger said there are seven newcomers to the program who “have only bowled a limited amount of games in their lives.”
However Ballinger believes if his team can remain consistent and the top bowlers bowl well, the Wildcats can contend for the SBAAC National Division title.
”Excited to get started and to see what these talented young athletes have to show,” he said.
