LEESBURG — The East Clinton girls track and field team won four events and the boys two Thursday in a tri-meet with Fairfield and Paint Valley.
”We are still early in the season, so we are making some adjustments and seeing where our athletes fit in to the events that are best for them and the team,” the EC coaches said in a report submitted to the News Journal. “We had a lot of PRs at this meet and are so proud of the athletes.”
Boys wins came in the 4×800-meter relay with Dylan Arnold, Jackson Seabaugh, Drum Simmons and Colton Brockman clocking a 10:36, and Arnold in the 400-meter dash with a time of 59 seconds.
The girls also won the 4×800 meter relay with Molly Seabaugh, Emily Arnold, Kaylyn Deaton and Jordan Collom finishing in 11:28.
Seabaugh also won the 1,600-meter run in 5:53 and the 800-meter run in 2:44. Deaton topped the field in the 3,200-meter run with a time of 13:56.
