Student’s ingenuity supports C-M band program

CLARKSVILLE — Clinton-Massie High School senior Nathaniel Welch recently used his Eagle Scout project to support the band program.

Welch saw the need to supply an observation tower for the marching band practice field. As a member of Scout Troop 999, he prepared and designed a tower for the school. He took the time and detail to meet with school officials and the band director.

The plan was to provide a safe and effective structure that hopefully could be used for years to come. His goal was to leave a legacy for the band program that he loved so much.

Welch completed weeks of work to build this great structure. Lending a hand in the build, Welch had volunteers from his family, troop, and band program. His leadership was key to building and designing this tower. Welch thanked all those who built and donated to his project.
