FAIRFIELD — With a strong performance from start to finish, the Wilmington High School girls bowling team won the Division I Sectional girls bowling tournament at Rollhouse Thursday afternoon.

Kylie Fisher, who won the sectional title in 2022, won the sectional tournament’s top individual honor this season with a 597 series. She had games of 204, 224 and 171.

Wilmington advances to the Division I Southwest District tournament 9:45 a.m. Feb. 29 at Beaver-Vu Lanes.

The Hurricane started with a 776 game, their lowest of the tournament but good enough for second place behind Lakota West’s 798.

But Wilmington cranked it up from there, posting the two highest games of the tournament at 865 and 832. They took the lead into the baker games and never let up. The 1,062 was second only to tournament runnerup West Clermont but Wilmington still won by nearly 300 pins.

Wilmington won the sectional last season with a 3,369 total.
