20th Century Club of Blanchester meets

The 20th Century Club of Blanchester held its monthly meeting on November 10 at the home of Peggy Morgan. This year’s theme is “Least Visited National Parks in the U.S.” The program was presented by Susan Jacobs with the help of Lauren Stephens, who shared her experience of climbing Mt. Rainier through stories and photos of her experience. US revises up last quarter’s economic growth to 2.9% rate

WASHINGTON (AP) — Despite high interest rates and chronic inflation, the U.S. economy grew at a 2.9% annual rate from July through September, the government said Wednesday in a healthy upgrade from its initial estimate.

‘Patton’ to ‘Piano Man’ at Murphy Theatre this weekend

WILMINGTON — The Murphy Theatre and Ohio Living Cape May present the film “Patton” (1970) on Veterans Day — this Friday at 7 p.m. The film is offered free to veterans and their spouses; general admission is $10 at the door.
