The Blanchester seventh grade boys basketball team was defeated by Amelia 40-14 Monday night in the season opener.

Blake Coffman had eight points to pace the young Wildcats on offense. He also had six rebounds, four blocked shots and two steals.

Gabe McVey had four points, two assists and two rebounds. Seth Akers had two points and two assists.
