According to the report, a 50-year-old Wilmington female informed officials she had been staying with a 50-year-old male on the same block and advised she has property at the male’s residence and was told she could get it. But a cousin of the male subject verbally harassed her, she reported. The victim said she wanted the officer to tell the cousin to leave. The officer advised that the male subject was allowed to have guests and he couldn’t make anyone leave. The female subject responded with “I guess I’m not getting my stuff then” and went back inside and closed the door in the officer’s face, according to the report.

She brought her friends over to ask him to leave the residence. According to her, the male subject stated that if he was going to leave they would have to make him and proceeded to grab two knives. Nobody in the group admitted to striking him, but they advised he had picked up two knives. The female subject was able to get inside and get the child. While on the scene, police were informed that the male subject jumped out of the rear of the squad. He showed up on the scene still raging, they said. The officer indicates that he believed the man was under the influence of meth, possibly. He began taunting those on the scene, the officer reported.
