Laurel Oaks FFA prepares for national convention

As Laurel Oaks FFA Chapter is getting ready for the upcoming year, its new members are already up and running getting ready for National Convention coming up. Starting from the left is Kairi Hutchinson for 2023-2024 reporter and sentinel, next is Anna Davis for 2023-2024 equine president and vice-president, next is Kyleigh Berry for 2023-2024 animal science president and vice-president, and last is Nikkiah Smith for 2023-2024 treasurer and reporter.

Antique Power Club awards scholarships

The Antique Power Club of Clinton County recently awarded scholarships to Madison Brausch, a Clinton- Massie High School graduate, studying at the Catholic University of America; Lily Collins, a Blanchester High School graduate, studying at Bowling Green State; and Brian Miller, a Blanchester High School graduate, studying at The Ohio State University.

Head Start Heroes recognized

On May 2, Head Start recognized its “HEROES.” The HERO program matches community members with Head Start children to provide the children with role models who support them through play at the center. This year, 55 of the 85 children had HEROES. The children sang to their HEROES and presented then with certificates of appreciation. The HEROES and children enjoyed snacks together while watching a slide show of their events this year. Blue Light: Emergency phones top off a year of enhancing WC safety measures

The paramount importance of students’ safety and security prompts Wilmington College to constantly reviews its protocols for providing students with a safe campus environment. WC took another major step forward this spring with the installation of five new “Blue Light” phones at strategic locations throughout the campus.

All 2nd year MS in athletic training students graduating with jobs

The inaugural cohort in Wilmington College’s Master of Science in Athletic Training program is going out with a bang. The students will graduate at WC’s 147th Commencement Saturday and all four already have jobs.

CMHS students clean Clarksville Community Park

On Friday May 5, a group of students from Clinton-Massie High School, as part of their Falcon Forward Day, came to the Clarksville Community Park to clean the playground equipment, weed and mulch and paint planters. This was one of six Falcon Forward Day community service projects. This group of students represented their school in an outstanding way, according to school officials. They worked very hard with a smile on their face knowing that they were helping to bring positive changes to their community.

Southern State celebrates 47th commencement ceremony
